BSNL & CellOne GSM SIM card gives “Your account is inactive”

Problem with BSNL & Cellone GSM sim card. Was giving error "Your account is inactive, kindly recharge to continue your service" activate now

I was using my BSNL GSM sim card in mobile for internet browsing. And suddenly I found that my network got disconnected. I checked all my network connection but was unable to find reason.

So just for instant I was checking my account balance may be there might be NO account balance. I dial account check USSD code *123# (Maharashtra and Goa) and found one unexpected error message.

“Your account is inactive. Kindly recharge to continue your service. You balance is XXXX”.

It was night 10pm and I was not even able to make calls, not even to customer care number. And also I have no friend or family member around who uses BSNL.

Next Morning, called BSNL customer care through my Airtel number. Yes of-course it is possible to call BSNL customer care through any mobile or land-line number.

After calling I verified my details about sim and asked him for help and sort out this error. Customer care service person replied me that ‘my BSNL validity is getting expired in coming 15 days. So kindly recharge validity recharge to continue service’.

Than I asked him, ‘How much is validity price?’ he said 42rs special recharge (Maharashtra and Goa Circle). Don’t forget that it is ‘special recharge’, if you recharge with simple recharge top-up it will not add validity.

Hence I recharged with 42rs special recharge my mobile got activated instantly after recharge. And now I am again enjoying my internet through BSNL on my Android phone.
