Devices like the iPhone and iPad renowned as an elegant device with a keypad that is very minimalist and designed beautifully. Home button on the bottom center and the Power button on the top right side was made with the full calculation and design that blends with the body. But like any other electronic equipment that can be damaged and make you fuss, the two buttons is sometimes a big problem when you cannot use it or if they are broken.
I have experienced damage to the power button and find it difficult to turn off the device. This damage is permanent it cannot just work when hard pressed. We are going to share tips that can help you turn off the device before you could take the iPhone to the experts to replace the Power Button. Here’s how:
- Enable Assistive Touch from Settings> General> Accessibility> AssitiveTouch> ON. After that you can see the virtual buttons on the screen. This button can be slide where you want to a position that does not interfere.
- Press the virtual key and select Device that is on the right side.
- You will see six icons that will be Lock Screen, Rotate screen, Unmute, More, Volume Down and Volume Up.
- To turn off the iOS device press and hold the Lock Screen padlock icon about 10 seconds. After that AssitiveTouch will disappear and appear red line labeled Slide To Power Off, swipe to the right to turn off your device.
How do I turn it back? There is still no practical way; you have to connect your iOS device to a charger or computer via the data cable. After that you will turn your iOS device on. This method is quite effective for a while, you should immediately fix your Power Button and take it to the experts.
