It has just been a little over a week that the all new Apple iPhone 6S and 6S plus has been announced. We have recently posted an article on What are the major difference between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s series.
So let’s take a quick view on what they are offering and what’s the difference.
The iPhone 6S and 6S plus are ever so slightly larger than last year’s iPhone 6. They are also a noticeably heavier at 143gms for the 6S and 192gms for the 6S plus.
They also look similar to yester year’s models but have a key difference. Remember how the iPhone 6 and the 6 plus could be so easily bent, even while it has inside your pocket.
Well, that won’t be the case with the new iPhones as they have switched to Series 7000 aluminum which makes them twice as hard. It won’t easily bend in everyday activities.
The iPhone 6S has a 4.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 1334*750p whereas the 6S plus has boasts a 5.5-inch display with 1920*1080p resolution.
Admittedly display resolutions aren’t as over spec-ed as that of the Samsung’s Galaxy S6 but still it’s nothing to be regretful. Most iPhone users won’t find any difficulty using the displays in real life.
Again both the devices have a new feature called 3D Touch. The technology uses the same pressure panel as in Apple Watch, MacBook and MacBook Pro lines.
This technology helps the device distinguish between different types of touch and hence help developers allow new gestures to their apps.
But this new features’ success is totally in the hands of developers. How they use the feature in their apps is crucial.
This feature is currently exclusive to only the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S plus as it requires dedicated hardware. Hence, the previous iPhones won’t get this feature.
The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus boasts a 12 MP main shooter and 5 MP selfie snapper. Compare to yester year’s iPhones which had just an 8MP rear camera and a 1.2 MP front camera this is a decent improvement.
But then again, these megapixels are not quite in par with other market-leading handsets like LG G4 or the Samsung Galaxy S6, but taking into account Apple’s renowned image processing software, Apple is back in the camera battle.
The camera will also support videos in 4K format.
You can expect with the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus you will get one of the best phone camera experiences in the market.
Now the iPhone 6S plus and iPhone 6S till now has been pretty much same in the camera department but the main distinction is that the iPhone 6S will just get Digital Image Stabilization whereas the 6S plus is going to get Optical Image Stabilization.
Overall everything that was disappointing about the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 plus launched last year has been amended this year with the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S plus.
Again, it is needless to specify that both the devices will run the latest iOS 9 operating system.
